Materials

Recommendation by Borges based on the intended use.
Stainless steel tanks are very stable and durable. They are suitable for acidic materials and are rustproof. Stainless steel is also the most expensive material and processing is very complex. All stainless steel tanks at Borges are welded under forming gas in order to achieve a high level of seam cleanliness.
Steel tanks are robust and suitable for most applications. Steel is easy to process and, compared to aluminum or stainless steel, it is rather inexpensive. Steel tanks are often used for diesel or hydraulic oil in machines or large vehicles.
Aluminum tanks are well suited for applications where weight is an important factor. Aluminum is easy to work with and allows a relatively large amount of design freedom. Aluminum tanks are light and rust-free, as an inexpensive alternative to stainless steel, but not suitable for aggressive media.
